Experts,
Sw1----------------port 1 Sw2 port1 -------------------------------Sw3
---------------- port2 port2
-------------------------------
If I have to connect SW1 and Sw3 using etherchannel do I really need two
vlans on Sw2 (one for port1 on both sides and one for port2 on both
sides). One of the examples I see in IE labs are using two seperate vlans.
I tried and it work with even a single vlan on both side.
Sw2:
both port1:
sw mo dot1q
sw acc vlan 100
l2pro cdp
both port2:
sw mo dot1q
sw acc vlan 100 <<one of the lab in IE I saw using 101 here.
l2pro cdp
Also in general If Sw1 and Sw3 are same customers branches then regardless
of how many links I have to the same customer switch I should assign same
metro vlan right?
Thanks,
Mac
