MTU for 802.1q trunk

Experts,

I have a host connected to an access port (MTU 1500) of a cisco switch.
The Cisco switch has a 802.1q trunk port (standard MTU 1500).

If the host sends an ethernet frame 1500 byte to the switch, the switch
will add 4 bytes to the frame for the 802.1q encap; at this point the
frame is 1504 byte which exceeds the MTU of the trunk port!

Is the frame dropped?
Thanks,
Bit.
