Hi Dale,
I don't currently run production L3VPN multicast but am planning to
enable it in my network very soon.
MDT trees have been working for me in test/study configurations without
any problems. That's why I'd be interested if you share more details
about your current issues:
-What platforms are you using for core/edge (P/PE) routers?
-What's your core multicast setup like? (PIM sparse, SSM). Do you have
Anycast RP with MSDP, do you use AutoRP/BSR or static.
-Within the VPN, do you have SM, DM, anything else or it's mixed?
-What the multicast traffic level like? Do you use a single (default)
MDT group per VPN or use additional data groups?
