The way i like to test the feature:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
R1:
ipx routing
interface ethernet0/0
ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
ipx network abcd

R2:
ipx routing
interface ethernet0/0
ip address 1.1.1.2 255.255.255.0
ipx network abcd

SW:
interface FastEthernet0/1
swichport access vlan 10

interface FastEthernet0/2
switchport access vlan 20

bridge 1 protocol vlan-bridge

interface Vlan10
bridge-group 1

interface Vlan20
bridge-group1
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You will have IPX connectivity between R1 and R2 and you will not have IP
connectivity between R1 and R2.

Here you have the configuration guide:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3550/software/release/1
2.2_44_se/configuration/guide/swfallbk.html

Subject: bridge protocol vlan-bridge

Hi All

PLease set my understanding about vlan-bridge correct ..

bridge 10 protocol vlan-bridge

int vlan 10
bridge-group 10
!
int vlan 20
bridge group 20
.

Now does that mean that traffic will be leaked between vlan 10 and vlan 20
?.

As far as my understanding goes .. to leak the multicast traffic
between2 vlans we have MVR ,,

What does this actually attain ( vlan-bridge )

Thnx
Gaurav Madan.
