If you are married with family look after all of them while you are
preparing for the lab. It can take a long time to cover all the necessary
work. This has an impact on your homelife. Sometimes you have to lay off the
studies for periods for everyone's sake at home.

If you have support from the employer use the best hours of the day to
study. If not, its evenings and weekends which is hard going so pace
yourself.
