logging synchronous just copies whatever text is on the line again after the
debug is printed.
With logging syn:
R1(config)#exi
R1#show ip rout
*May 8 07:23:42.461: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by console
R1#show ip route
Without logging syn:
R1(config)#exi
R1#show ip rou
*May 8 07:23:42.461: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by consolete
In my personal opinion, there is no reason not to have this on every line of
your router. I suppose a far-fetched argument could be made that it causes
more characters to be sent to the console and can increase the chances of
debugs crashing the router. And that's just silly because you shouldn't be
logging to the console for anything less than a small amount of debugs.
