Depends on what you're doing, if you a sub-contractor which is typically the
case then no. Your typically seen as a temporary employee that is being used
to cover for the requirements of a project.

The rates vary from 1.5 to 3 times depending on experience, length of the
contract, market conditions, location, etc.

Just curious,

As contractors in Canada, is it a lot like the USA, where your contracting
for 2-3 times the rate a full time employee might make? I realize that taxes
are nearly 50%, is there any increased liability as a contractor?
