IPV6 - approach to addressing

What are your thoughts on interpreting questions that ask for IPv6 addressing configs but don't specify the actual host ip address ... i.e. just the network for the interface ... and they don't specifically say use eui-64 addressing either ... my initial thoughts are stick to the IPv4 host (i.e. R3 is .3 etc.) ... this way at least the ip addressing is consistant.
