If you're asking what percentage of R&S lab pertains to security, I would
guess somewhere from 10 to 15 percent.
If you're asking what percentage of the Security Lab pertains to routing and
switching, that's harder to pin down.
In the security lab, much of the routing and switching is pre-configured,
but that said, you need to know a good deal about routing and switching to
properly configure many features.
For example, supposed you're asked to config ospf authentication for the
backbone and ospf is configured with a virtual link. This is something you
should know how to do.
Suppose you're asked to secure STP, it would be a big help if you know and
understand how STP works.
So, the bottom line is that even though you won't need to configure a lot of
routing and switching, you need to know that topic pretty well anyway.
And, you just might need to configure routing on the ASA or VPN 3000.
HTH, Tim
