Sorry to bring this topic back again but one of my friend who asked me this
question a few days ago.
Can someone shed some light in his case?
My friend works for company X. Company X is Cisco Gold partner but they
don't use his R&S ccie. His company already have about 8 CCIE's. His CCIE
(R&S) number is free and not associated with anyone at the moment.
The question is can he be a part time employee for the company Y and
associate his number with them while working for company X? Fulltime for
company X and part time for company Y ?
Company Y wants their gold partnership. And he tells me that the company Y
will also be giving him occasionally part time critical calls to solve.
I don't see any ethical issue(s) in the above case. He can associate his
number with company Y and get some benefits of his number.
