Hi guys

here is what I think of the question Jared Asked (if you would at a router
inbetween the GRE endpoints).

{Area1(R1)---(R5)---{Area2(R2)Area1}(R3)---{Area3(R4)Area2}---(R5)---(R6)Area
3}
(i know its crappy but you should be able to get it)

So bassicly what i think would happens

I take Area 1 as guinea pig :).

All router boot boot up R1, R5, R2

since thier are all in area 1 they will exchange routes, so R1 will know how
to get to the GRE endpoint and the same for the R3,

but the moment the GRE tunnel comes up area 0 comes online and since thier
is a difference between inter and intra area routing in ospf,
R1 and R3 will exchange the routes trough area 0, for that reason the tunnel
endpoints will be learnd trough the tunnel and for that thier is your
chicken and egg problem (alias recursive routing)..

what do you guys think about that ?

cheers Reni
