If only it were so easy Peter!  Maybe a temp firm in your local area  
could be of some assistance to you?  I quit my last real job a handful  
of years ago and I've yet to ever land any consulting work over the  
Internet, per se.  I did look into a couple of web-based "CCIE shops"  
after earning my number but none of the terms were even remotely  
acceptable.  If you really think about it, just about any old schmuck  
could - and no doubt would - offer IP network consulting services on a  
website.  No matter how dire the circumstances, it's not likely that a  
company in need of such services will just blindly turn to the  
Internet for help.  There's a trust factor involved with this sort of  
thing that just isn't workable through a "job board" type of  
environment, unfortunately.  That's in my experience, anyway (would be  
absolutely thrilled to be proven wrong on this particular count!)...
