Don't despair!!! The first trip to the lab can be a humbling experience.
You did come out better than some folks that do not understand where they
might have went wrong.
I also, 6 years ago when I passed the lab struggled with multicast.

I believe the books that have been mentioned here are good for both areas
that you mentioned.
Of course the Cisco website has a ton of white papers on these technologies
as well - some very good and some not so good.

I would suggest that you don't just read but do some technology focused labs
on QoS and Multicast either from the workbooks that are available or use he
examples in the book and build out the scenarios they show and make it work
for yourself.

If you are like me, you can read about it all day, but unless I can dig in
and do it, I do not fully understand it.

Storm forward and you'll get it next time!!!
