Adding to Ravi's reply,
for #2 you can imaging an OSPF in your case doing the following
redistribute connected subnets route-map RIP-INTERFACES
route-map RIP-INTERFACES permit 10
match interface FastEthernet0/1
this is in addition to normal redistribution and is done automatically.
