As RSPAN is done in HW, the switch needs a port ASIC (something like a CPU).

On 3560/2960/3750/4500/6500... the switch got a ASIC to do that, on 3550 it
doensn't. On 3550 the switch is using one of the real port's ASIC to do the
RSPAN job. That port will be unoperational as its ASIC is busy...
