I work with a guy who's number is in the range of 2xxx. This means he took
the lab exam when it used to be the 2day version. There is no doubt he did
he CCIE when it was more work with the absence of a concentrated
material/resources than now, with all the COD and Labs to to mention books.
This guy is 48 now. Hes got 4 kids and is happy with the level of skills he
has to get his day job going.... hes number expired a few years back... I am
not sure recertifying would really buy him much more in the future to be
honest... not more money, not a promotion, etc. Yes, there is bo doubt it
would give him more skills but if he does not use it again in the future,
what good would it be since he would eventually loose it for not using it?
