ccievoice1,
Only thing I can saw is WOW!
I half expected the new books to be the "old" books with some new stuff
tossed in for the new topics. But typical of Narbik he's out done
himself. He didn't just add material for the new topics, he
expanded/enhanced the old labs, and even added more labs and tasks to
the old sections! Based on my bootcamp experience with him, it looks
like he's applied a lot of "lessons learned" to old format, and even
gone a bit further. On his website you can see just how many sections
he added to the labs, and how many new labs where incorporated. This is
definitely worth what I paid for it. I'll be the first to admit that I
loved the old workbooks. I personally feel that they could stand alone,
but more specifically they where a perfect complement to both IPexpert
and INE ( I don't know about any other vendors ). But the new materials
seem to be even more polished than the old ones.
The topology has stayed the same so I don't have to redo my Rack
(woohoo). I can't judge the new sections since honestly I haven't
really had a chance to play around with the tech, but Narbik's
methodology of keeping the amount of devices as low as possible so that
you can focus on the technology and configuration hasn't changed.
There's a lot I haven't seen yet. By my count there's just short of
1200 tasks and over 2500 pages. If you've seen the old workbooks the
format is the same, the task, the config, followed by the verification
and testing.
I'll end this the way it began. WOW!
