Brussels location

Folks,
          I was in Brussels recently taking my ccie lab. I was staying at
Ibis which has wireless service provided by Orange. I was not able to access
my home lab via vpn. I was able to vpn via my laptop but could not telnet,
my vpn adapter showed me that no packets were coming back. It seems orange
is blocking vpn traffic. Has anyone gone to Brussels for lab purposes and
could recommend a hotel from where they were able to telnet or vpn.
