I seem to remember Cisco giving an example that if you received 12  
Trouble Tickets, you would need to solve 8 or more in order to pass  
that section. They will certainly tell you in the section  
instructions, so you can craft your strategy accordingly.
Regarding the Configuration portion, remember that they will construct  
this section differently all the time to protect the integrity of the  
exam. So for example, one lab exam might feature 2 questions in a BGP  
section each worth 3 points, but another exam might feature 4  
questions each worth 2 points.
In addition to consistently varying the number of tasks and their  
point value, keep in mind that Cisco will also vary things like the  
number of diagrams and their style, and the amount of preconfiguration  
and built-in errors.
