While I agree that troubleshooting experience in the field is a great
requisite for the troubleshooting section, I would say that
troubleshooting is a process. So even if you have years of troubleshooting
in the field, are you using a GOOD process that gets you to the resolution
both quickly and effectively?
I believe that is where the workbooks CAN play a role. Most of the
troubleshooting WB's that are out do teach a methodology for the PROCESS
of effectively troubleshooting.
