Hello All,
I came across a situation today which surprised me. I don't know if any
other person have come across same. I have a cisco 6509 switch with SFP
fibre module, and servers are connected directly fo the SFP module using
fibre patch cables. I did a "show mac-address table on the cisco 6509
switch. I was expecting to see the mac-addresses of the connecting devices
instead I saw a generic mac-address for all the servers connecting to the
SFP module. Moreover I was able to see the mac-addresses of servers
connected to a similar switch but with a GigabitEthernet module.
