Based on my experience with the v4.0 test, here's what I saw.
1. 4 Points is not the maximum you'll have on a single task but it does
seem to be a favorite point value. I will say you won't see anything much
above 4 though... definately no 10 point sections.
2. Lets keep with the BGP section example... in v3.0 you'd have 3+ tasks in
EGP, eBGP, iBGP and usually some filtering or AS-Path selection stuff. Each
was usually worth 2 or 3 points. You could miss individual tasks without
missing the entire section. That's not quite the way it's done in v4.0
lab. Not sure how much I could add without going into NDA violating detail.
3. The v4.0 test is certainly not impossible, however a real change in
tactics is needed. There's not enough time to use the documentation so you
better know how to do everything on the blueprint.
4. It would be possible to fail based on a single task as much as it was on
v3.0. It's possible but it'd have to be a perfect storm scenario where the
one task you mess up on messes with all IGP and EGP for example. I don't
see it really happening.
Hope this helps.
