Is it fair? Definitely not. Is it ethical?? Probably not. Is it legit? Most
likely it is. From what I remember, most vendors have a disclaimer that says
they reserve the right to cancel a training class for whatever reason. Most
often the vendor does not cancel, especially in the IE market with
reputation being more important than anything else... Most students will
look at forums like this to gauge how good a vendor is and it does affect
their bottom line.
IMHO, you are not being too hard on the vendor, you paid for a service that
you expected, given the reputation of the vendor (hopefully a very good
reputation!); absolutely not. We live in a services oriented world... at the
end of the day, if I were looking for a vendor and saw the 10 great reviews
but a few really bad ones, I would re-think and make sure I knew what I was
getting into from the get go.
You should probably talk to them and figure out a way out of this... I am
sure they will want to re-mediate the problem the cancellation caused to
you. I think all vendors giving IE bootcamps in this list would make an
effort to help you out.
Just my 2 cents.
