Hi James!

Anything is possible certainly...but keep in mind that almost everyone agrees the Version 4 R&S lab has been ratcheted up in its level of difficulty. Most candidates believe they need a lot more hours of prep, as opposed to less.

Also, from what I experienced recently, the written exam has been made much easier than previous versions. I know, I know, this does not make much sense. :-)

If you are interested in my review of the latest written exam - here it is:

With all this said - if you have no budget constraints - go take an expensive Mock Lab! If you are under budget constraints, I would at least take one of the vendor mock labs and assess your realistic chances of passing before you try and reset the Cert timer using the lab itself.

In order to maintain my written i have to take the lab buy Jan 29th ... but i'm just getting restarted in studying ... i had a heavy work year so i wasn't able to get back ontrack last year ... One thought i had was to just study and re-take the written to reset me ... but curious if anyone has successfully passed with only 4 weeks to prep for the lab given they are experienced at this ... and have studied a lot before.
