virtual link in ipv6

hi ;

I am doing one of ipv6 labs and it asked me to create virtual link.As you
see below I have to write remote router's router-id which is 150.1.3.3 and
in ipv4.If I do not have ipv4 reachability to ip 150.1.3.3 then my virtual
link does not come up.Correct?

sw1(config-rtr)#area 37 virtual-link ?
  A.B.C.D RouterID associated with virtual link neighbor

In order to use virtual link in ipv6 do I have to get ipv4 connectivity?Is
it a must?
