You have to find what works for you. I found that cramming that way was
similar to me cramming for a history test in High School.
Personally, I'd keep going moving forward through the technologies labs,
knowing that you won't understand it all or will forget some stuff (it's
expected); but make sure you start taking notes on the wierd stuff (writing
it down helps some people). Read Books, read Doc-CDs, and check the IE
Blogs for updates; go back and re-do the technology labs again (should be
faster; should know more, and less nowledge gaps to fill but probably not
80%); update notes as you go. Re-read books & Doc-CDs (It still amazes me
on the 5th/6th pass on a book; I'll catch stuff that I learned elsewhere
because of the wording); and then keep repeating till you think you know it
all.... :-)
Then start the other labs, and be prepared to feel like a 'newbie' all over
again :-)
