I hope you all had a very nice week, here is a puzzle to relax you.

Lets do it. The following is the topology:

*R1 (F0/0-10.1.12.1/24) --- Area 1 ---- (10.1.12.2/24-F0/0)* *R2*
*(F0/1-10.1.23.2/24)
---- Area 0 ---- (F0/1-10.1.23.3/24)* *R3* *(F0/0-10.1.34.3/24) ----
Area 2---- (F0/0-10.1.34.4/24)
* *R4*

R1 is advertising network 1.0.0.0/8 in area 1.

Configure *R3* *and R3 ONLY* such that R4 or any future router in area 2
does NOT see Network 1.0.0.0/8 in its Database or routing table.

DO NOT use any *router configuration mode command*(s) on R3 to accomplish
this task.

DO NOT use an access-list, Prefix-list or even a route-map *as part of the
solution.*

DO NOT configure the other routers to accomplish this task, ONLY R3 should
be configured.

The solution should ONLY effect network 1.0.0.0/8.

DO NOT configure ISIS, RIPv2, Another OSPF process, or BGP.

Once again unicast me, this should NOT take that long, it is a very simple
puzzle. Its so simple its hard.

I wont even tell you all that my Grandma resolved it in 2 minutes.
