ATM-AToM

Dear Experts,
 
Can you please help me with this issue :)
 
I need to monitor the status of Layer 2 Circuit Carrying ATom-ATM,because the Customer is connected with two layer 2 links through ATM/DSLAM to our PE Router.
I need to find a way so that i can monitor the Status of Layer 2 LINK carring AToM to Be able to Utlize the Primary link and Backup Link.
 
CPE------two Links-----ATM DSLAM---------Two Links-------PE
 
Kindly notes i can't monitor the Status of Interfaces because the DSLAM doesnt provide it and we need to check layer 2 end to end.
 
Any Mechanism To Provide that Solution?
