I tried solving this same problem.  The issue with debug ip(v6) packet 
is it only shows the information in the IP datagram.  I have been unable 
to locate an IOS command which would show the contents of the Ethernet 
payload itself.  (Short of mirror and WireShark)  Anything off the DocCD 
is unreliable (read useless) in the actual lab.
In all honesty, I'd love to know if anyone has ever found a way to 
output the complete layer 2 payload of any of the media types.
