Unfortunatly trying to debug bridging was a bust. I got IRB working but there
are no usefull debug commands (at least that I could find). If you know of
any
that will show ethertype, I would be most thankfull.

David

Chris-
Bridge between two interfaces (think irb) and debug bridging until you
get
it....
Have you tried that?

I tried solving this same problem. The issue with debug ip(v6)
packet
is it only shows the information in the IP datagram. I have been
unable
to locate an IOS command which would show the contents of the Ethernet
payload itself. (Short of mirror and WireShark) Anything off the DocCD
is
unreliable (read useless) in the actual lab.
In all honesty, I'd love to know
if anyone has ever found a way to
output the complete layer 2 payload of any
of the media types.

Chris
