Re: TSHOOT or Not?

Thanks for all the advice. I am lucky enough to have skillport here at
work and I will follow up with the Cisco Press to see if TSHOOT would
be worth while. I have some free seats and want to use them wisely to
help pass my upcoming R & S lab (wish 360 would adjust the format to
accept written credits in trade forlLab assessment products...).

Jay you make a great point. Perhaps that getting more involved in the
CCIP track could be more beneficial than TSHOOT. After my month long
encounter with BGP and INE's vol 1, it wouldn't be far fetched that I
could sit on that exam and score well...I think the QoS would be
super helpful as well. I have really focused so intensely on the core
80% + IPV6 and Multicast that QoS has taken a back seat rarely being
touched.

I do have a friend who went for his lab R & S and decided the CCIP
would be all he needed. He ended up attaining his CCNP/CCIP and
failing R & S shortly after. I don't want to put too much emphasis on
this track but figure that I could gain from the exams to see how
prepared I am. I think the strategy will be to sit the BGP and/or QoS
(based on how many free sits I can get) to measure where the
deficiencies lie within this topic via this exam score. Use it to move
forward in my CCIE studies but not get too wrapped up in what is
involved to pass those tests.
