I have the 13" MacBook Pro - great machine - but I do wish I spent the extra $$ for the 15". I will probably give this one to my son when he graduates high school next year and get a 15" - great excuse to upgrade:-) 
You can get most of the functionality application wise that you are available for Windows. Many application vendors are becoming more Mac aware. SecureCrt is a good example. You can usually transfer your Windows license to a Mac license. 
I use Parallels as well for the stuff that has not come out with a Mac version. Works great.
