Re: MacBook pro - OT

The SSD is well worth it IMHO. Power-on is awesome. Even with full
disk encryption, I'm up and logging in within 15 seconds and ready to
rock in about 30 seconds. :) (If disk check needs to be run it may be
60 seconds, but still much better than normal HDD!)

Omnigraffle as mentioned works well for Visio files. But just as
easily, VMware Fusion with an XP image should run blazing fast (faster
on Mac/VM than on my Lenovo T61!).

But Visio and Quicken are about the only things that I rely on Windoze
for any longer. Other than the occasional #$*&#ing web site that
requires Internet Exploder.

I own the 17" and love it. Even though large, it's still quite light.
But with the new versions of things, the 15" MBP or 15" Aire should be
just as good in most instances.

I'm sitting across from someone running the Aire with SSD and swears it
does everything he needs!

Pricey yes, but definitely worth it IMHO!
