Dear Aftab,

I purchased cisco 3550 switches from Ebay and found in good condition. But
it's get costly to receive here in Kuwait.

I would suggest you buy from the vendor who is having more positive reviews.
Their price may be little costly but you will find the stuff in good and
working condition.

Regards,

Shahid

Subject: 3550 help

Hello All,

Need your help!! I did purchase a cisco 3550 -refurbished one and did some
basics labs on it.

After few months it was getting stuck so I use to reboot it and now all of
sudden it says the Switch is Unusable.

I have no idea of the hardware and I did invest on it so that I can learn.

I did contact Cisco Tac and they said that its under life time warranty but
I am not the person who took it from them.

As its a refurbished one I am not sure who on earth is the owner of the
switch. I did ask cisco tac to repair it and I will pay for the charges but
they said its not possible.

KIndly advise how can I repair this switch ? I did invest like 600 dollars
on it and being in India its quiet good money and I am not sure how to get
it repaired.

Also can some one advise how to purchase refurbished products or from where
to purchase it where they can assist if something goes wrong.

Many Thanks
Mohammed Aftab Memon
