I think u may be wrong here
R1-----------R2--------------R3----------R4
When link between R2 and R3 fails , so watever R3 gave to R2 will be
flushed out, and when R3 forms neighorship with R2 again, R2 will request
for all the updates, for wat R3 is connected.
So where Link State Request helps here.. Why not R3 can send all the LSUs
directly.
