Thank You all for replying to my query. I have downloaded SolarWinds and will
try to run some numbers in my lab.
One more thing I need to understand is that if there are any data trending
tools out there?
Why do we need these tools? Are they kind of Capacity Management tools?

collector. That's a different application and other than a good UI in the
demos, I can't say I have any experience with it. SuperAgent is layer 7 aware
and used troubleshoot application performance issues.

fluke tool (renamed recently) does not only do netflow but also used for
performance, voice quality and other some other things. Worth looking at. It
all depends on what you want to measure or monitor.

SuperAgent, but was purchased by CA and is now called CA Application Delivery
Analysis. We had used this product to troubleshoot LDAP issues, in the past.
This is an advanced, elegant tool, but is priced accordingly.

configuring either the poller or responder on anything running BGP. The BGP
scanner process can briefly peg a CPU, which radically skews your results.
Some of the newer hardware requires more advanced licensing for IP SLA, but
most of the older stuff has it included.
