Yeah, I used to do LAAs alot (can be really helpful for looking at your
bridge tables and tracking mac addresses across DLSW clouds). I stopped
doing it for lab prep because DECNET changes mac addresses and it used to be
an exam objective. Since DECNET has been dropped recently, it's proabably
safe to do it now, although I think it might be not be worth the time
investment.

You can statically set the mac-address on most interfaces; the notable
exception is a loopback interface, which doesn't take the mac-address
command.

Subject: Novell - How to specify host address
Hi everyone. I am playing with IPX and I would like to specify host
addresses so that I don't have to type the whole mac address every time I
want to ping. Does anyone know how to do that?
