Hi there,
I am in a desperate situation at the moment. Currently busy with a project
where we are installing 4 x Cat 4006 with 48 port FastEthernet Inline Power
(WS-X4148-RJ45V) modules and a Supervisor II. The problem is that when we
plug in the IP phones, they don't want to power up. I managed to get one to
power up on for about two minutes before it died again. I can hear the
relays clicking in the 48 port blade trying to apply power to the phone, but
they just don't power up. I have swapped ever conceivable piece of hardware
between the Cat 4006's. They all have the same symptoms. I have tried about
7 different 7940/7910 IP phones and none of them power up. I have checked
and checked the configuration. Its straight forward, and the Inline power is
enabled by default. I have tried three version of CATOS and that doesn't
make any difference. I have checked the external DC power shelfs and swapped
them between the Cat's. I have swapped the Supervisors, inline power blades
and PEM modules to no avail :( I have pretty much run out of idea's.
Can anyone help me?
Regards,
Simon.
