Hi Sam;

As far as I know , no feature that let's you do hot backup
between two or more RR in a clustering cnfiguration. RRs - even in redundant
configuration, can't be in mode in a shape: one standby(or listen), and one
active ( or reflect received routes ). Both are active, and that's why
the Cluster-list attribute is needed so that whenever one of the RR
reflects routes to another RR, this second RR will see its Cluster ID in
the received reflected route coming from the first RR, and it will
discard it, more over all the RR-clioent routers should and HAVE TO be
bgp peering with all the RRs in the cluster.

Regards;
Ayman
