Changing ICMP datagram sizes globally

Hey, Group. Couple of questions. If RouterA pings RouterB with a 1500 byte packet, does RouterB respond with a 1500 byte packet or a 100 byte packet or some other size?
 
Also, does anyone know if there is way to change the size of a ping packet globally on a router? I tried looking into a route-map to see if there is an option for it and there doesn't appear to be. I can match on length, but I can't set a length.
