RIP triggered

Hi everyone,

The senario described as follows:

R1----R2 connected through frame-relay, I want to let R1 donot reconstructe it's RIP database when network convergence and interface flapping.

I think RIP triggered mechanism would solve this problem. So I have done command 'ip rip triggered' on the interface of R1 which connected to R2.

But, after this, I found R1 still send and receive RIP updates through the interface of R1 connected to R2 when I did debug on R1. It seems the command did not work. And when I done this command on R1 and R2, the two router didn't not send and receive updates.

So should I configure on both routers or only R1?

Can anyone give me solutions or any suggestions?
